Taking care of your bikinis/swimsuits

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR MISSUS ITEMS

Bikinis and swimsuits are made from the finest fabrics and have delicate finishes. Many of the pieces are similar to lingerie and should be cared for in the same way.

WASHING
1. All items must be hand washed after each use, removing chlorine and salt residues.
2. Do not use hot water. Your bikini or swimsuit should be hand washed separately, in cold water and mild soap.
4. Never use Woolite, Soflan or any other type of detergent/softener containing chemical agents! Our fabrics are made of synthetic fibres which, when in contact with these detergents, begin to soften, resulting in their strength being lost more quickly.
5. Do not leave your items in contact with chemical products and avoid direct contact with creams, sunscreens, cosmetics and medicines. Apply sunscreen or sunscreen to your skin, wait for it to dry and then put on your bikini or swimsuit. Pay special attention to light-colored materials, especially white ones, as they can stain and absorb the color of the creams/sunscreens.

In the case of Polyamide and Polyester, care should be taken when washing and storing the items. Use neutral soap and do not use washing powder, detergents, softeners or bleaches because, as mentioned above, they are alkaline and release the dye from the fibers, which can cause fading and stains on your items. They should also not be left to soak.

DRYING
1. Never wring to dry.
2. Hang out of direct sunlight. Dry in the shade.
3. Never dry clean or machine wash.
4. Make sure to dry the item horizontally.
5. Remove any sand residue from the dry piece.

To preserve the shine and elasticity of the fabric, you should avoid friction that could break the fiber, such as twisting, for example. Ideally, you should squeeze it lightly immediately after washing to remove excess water before hanging the bikini or swimsuit.

Do not store your pieces when they are damp or wet. Before storing them, make sure they are dry enough to avoid situations such as mold, oxidation and limescale on the rings or eyelets.

⚠️ ALERT
While ALL bikinis and swimsuits can be worn in the pool or ocean, they are not intended for strenuous physical activity in the water or extended periods of time in highly chlorinated water.

Tanning lotions, spas and swimming pools with excessive chlorine can cause damage to your bikini/swimsuit due to the harsh chemicals.

Due to the nature of the raw materials, very strong colors may fade in the first few washes. Be extra careful with items that have any details/accessories or are fluorescent or neon colors.

Light colors and other soft tones (e.g. coral, Pink, aqua, etc.), have a natural tendency to fade or become lighter over time. This is due to prolonged exposure to the sun, chlorine in swimming pools, salt water, and even products such as sunscreens. These factors can alter the intensity of the original color of the fabric, especially in bikinis that are worn repeatedly throughout the summer.

It is important to note that this is a natural and expected process in light-colored swimwear. To minimize fading, we recommend taking the special care mentioned above, such as washing the bikini by hand with cold water and mild soap immediately after use and drying in the shade.

Avoid contact with rough surfaces (such as rough surfaces, stones, Velcro, etc.), as this may cause tears and filaments to form on the surface of the fabric.

By following the tips above, you will be washing and caring for your items correctly. Remember that any misconduct or problems caused during use and washing are not the brand's responsibility.
